After many years of prayer, Kairos was birthed in one of the largest and most international churches in Leeds, Bridge Street Church in 2014. Five and a half years ago Bridge Street Church became Bridge Community Church and moved to a new building with a 1000 seater auditorium and many wonderful facilities. Since 2014, 10 Kairos courses, two Empowered To Influence (ETI) and one Unfinished Story (TUS) course have been run with many participant testimonies.

At its heart Bridge Community Church (BCC) is a missional church with a strapline of Together for the Nations, Together for the Generations and a vision statement to Go, Grow and Glorify. But as with many churches, BCC is on a journey to becoming increasingly missional. In 2016, a core Mission Team was birthed with individuals leading up 3 areas Global Mission, Home Mission and Mobilising. They praise God for this recognition that mobilisation is a valid ministry of the church, that the church will not be raised up for mission unless a team of people are willing to put in the hours to run courses and events and to mentor and journey with people.

Their vision is to see a Mission School birthed where not only SM tools/materials can be used but ongoing mission training and equipping where individuals are journeyed with and challenged to join in local missional activity, cross-cultural ministry in Leeds or go on mission trips overseas run by the church, with the ultimate goal of seeing people released into full time mission.

Local Mission is very much part of church life at BCC as well and they partner with a number of local organisations supporting the most disadvantages communities in Leeds, such as  those in debt, drug addicts, those living under the poverty line, refugees etc.  The ministry of mobilisation also aims to recruit volunteers for these local ministries.
